How to Transfer Playlists from Spotify to Apple Music
You can Easily Transfer Playlists from Spotify to Apple Music using an app called Move to Apple Music (MtAM). This app lets you transfer Spotify and Rdio Playlists to Apple Music.
After you get this app on your Mac Pc, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Select your Music Streaming Service
Step 2: Connect to Spotify
After you select Spotify, you need to login with your Spotify Account username and password. After you login to your Spotify Account, Allow MtAM App to have access to your Spotify Account by confirming your choice by approving the popup that appears.
Step 3: Select the Playlists
After logging in and confirming access of MtAM to your Spotify Account, a list with playlists will appear on screen. Select the playlists you would like to transfer to Apple Music by clicking on the checkbox next to each playlist.
Note: Playlist Transfering process can take a lot of time if the playlist has a lot of saved songs. It may take half an hour for a 50 Song Playlist.
Step 4: The Tricky Part of the Process
To transfer the playlists from Spotify to Apple Music, MtAM needs to do a process named as Capture an iTunes Session. Click on this option when appears on MtAM and open iTunes. After the iTunes is open, you have to like any song on your music library or in Apple Music.
Step 5: Transfer Music
After the iTunes Session, the transfer music process will begin. First the MtAM will check your songs and then will begin transferring playlist from Spotify to Apple Music.
Also, during this process, MtAM will notify you if there are songs which are not available on Apple Music. When this occurs, you can view these songs in a .TXT file after the process is finished.
Step 6: Transfering Playlists to Apple Music
Songs Not Found:
Near the Save My Playlist Files, you will see another option to save the not found songs. Click on this option to save the text file on your Pc. The text file will have listed all the songs MtAM couldn’t locate. These songs you have to manually add to your playlists.
Importing Playlists to Apple Music
When the import is completed, Spotify Playlists will appear in the Playlist Section on iTunes and Apple Music.
