There are two available methods to transfer contacts from Android to iPhone. I will show them both.
To transfer contacts to iPhone, your Android Contacts should be saved in your Google Account. To do this open your Android Device, go to its Settings and choose ” Accounts and Sync ” or something similar to this. Enter your Gmail details, username and password and then Enable Synchronization. Your Android Contacts should be synced with your Gmail Account.
For those who want to be sure that their Androids Contacts would be in their iPhone or iPhone Contacts would be on their Android Device, then follow this method in your iPhone after you follow the steps above.
- Go to your iPhone and open its Settings.
- Select Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
- Tap on Add Account – Select Other.
- Select Add CardDAV Account.
- Fill out the required fields with these info :
- Server : Google.com
- User Name : Enter you Google Account Username
- Password : Your Google Account Password
- Description : Enter a descriptions for this account. Ex. : Contacts or Personal Contacts.
- Select Next in upper-corner of your screen.
- Also, Make sure the ” Contacts ” option is Enabled.
After you complete the above steps, go to your iPhone HomeScreen and open Contacts App. After Contacts App is open, the sync will begin automatically between Google Android Platform and your iPhone.
This is a extra method that sometimes is very useful but sometimes doesn’t work. If you have saved your contacts in your SIM Card in your Android Device, you can swap your SIM and put it to your iPhone. Make sure that the SIM is compatible with your iPhone slot, because some devices require Micro SIM and iPhone, especially the latest generations require Nano-SIM, so it might not be compatible. After you make sure your SIM is compatible with your iPhone and you put it in, go to your Settings – Mail, Contacts, Calendars and find ” Import SIM Contacts “. When the operation is completed you will have all the contacts in your iPhone and you can remove your SIM Card and insert another one.
