How to Get iOS 9 Features in iOS 8 Right Now
Get iOS 9 Features in iOS 8
I am going to show one iOS 9 Feature and the similar tweak to get the feature in iOS 8.
The Tweak for iOS 8 that brings the same feature is called ReachApp.
ReachApp uses the reachability feature of iOS 8 to use two apps at the same time. After you install the tweak if you double tap the Touch ID Sensor, your screen will be separated into two halves and you can use two apps at the same time.
The Tweak that brings the same feature on iOS 8 is called VideoPane.
VideoPane is a very useful Cydia Tweak, which allows you to detach a video from its playing app ( YouTube, Netflix etc. ) and watch it while using other apps. The video window is movable and you can adjust its transparency.
But, on Cydia, there is a tweak which offers you the same function in iOS 8. It is called SwipeSelection.
After you install this tweak, you can configure its settings on preference panel on Settings App. You can choose the cursor swiping speed, one, two or three fingers swiping etc.
SwipeSelection is a very useful Cydia Tweak which brings the iOS 9 Feature in iOS 8.
Go to Cydia and Search for ” SwipeSelection ” to install this cool tweak.
Upper or Lower Case Keyboard Keys
Another improvement made by Apple on iOS 9 is the ability to easily determine whether the characters are Upper or Lower Case. On iOS 9, the keyboard displays upper or lower case letters when the Shift Key is pressed.
The same feature is available in iOS 8 by installing a tweak called ” ShowCase “.
Go to Cydia and install ShowCase Tweak to get this iOS 9 Feature in iOS 8.
Low Power Mode
Apple made a huge improvement to battery section on iOS 9 with Low Power Mode. It disables automatic Mail push and background app refresh, reduces motion effects and brightness along with the network speed to extend your iPhone’s battery life.
The BattSaver Tweak on Cydia improves the battery life of your device by switching off battery-draining features that are not used. It also includes monitoring views to check the battery state.
Redesigned App Switcher
Cornered and RoundedSwitcherCards are two jailbreak tweaks that bring the same look to iOS 8 App Switcher.
Go to Cydia and Download these two tweaks to get the rounded corners look to iOS 8.
On iOS 9, you can quickly return to the previous app you were using by pressing the back button on the left corner of the screen. For example, if you are in Mail App and you get a Message Notification, you can switch to Messages, then use the back button in the status bar to quickly switch back to Mail App.
LastApp offers the same function on iOS 8. It allows you to switch back to the previously open app.
Go to Cydia and install LastApp to get Back Button iOS 9 Feature in iOS 8.
So, there are a lot of cool tweaks that offer the same iOS 9 Feature Function to iOS 8. These tweaks may not be as good as the original iOS 9 features, but still the basic function is the same.
