Different developers developed new Cydia Tweaks due to new completely redesigned iOS 7 interface. They wanted to bring the users a unique experience.

One cool interesting tweak that was released together with iOS 7 was AquaBoard. This tweak adds water effect to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch home screen and lock screen. This tweak creates the ripple effect when you touch your device lock screen or home screen. It creates you a feeling like your Home Screen and Lock Screen are covered with water.

During all this years, this tweak has been available and compatible with all devices running iOS 7 only. So, the recently released iPhones were not compatible. But the tweak developer,  Elias Limneos, has now updated its tweak to be compatible with all devices and iOS 8. So, if you have a device running iOS 8, you can install this tweak now.

I am going to show you how to install this Cydia Tweak and add this cool effect to your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch.

How to Add Water Effect to your iPhone’s Home & Lock Screen

After you jailbreak your device, go and open Cydia in your iPhone. Go to Search Tab in Cydia and search for ” AquaBoard “. Find it and tap Install. After the installation is completed, you will have the cool effect to your device.

Note : This Tweak is available for $2.99 on BigBoss Repo but if you want to get it for Free, you should add a cracked Cydia Repo and install this tweak for free from them.

AquaBoard - Add Water Effect to your iPhone's Home and Lock ScreenOnce you install AquaBoard, a preference panel will be added to your Settings App. This tweak comes with 10 different cool animations such as Aqua Sphere, Waves, Heavy Taps, Turbulence, Shockwave, Abstract Artist, Unseen Absyss and Smudge Brush. You can choose one of them from the dedicated tweak preference panel found in Settings App. Also, there you can enable or disable the tweak, choose to turn on or turn off ripple effects for Home Screen or Lock Screen, choose FPS rate or water animation. The Frames per Second option lets you to adjust the speed of ripple effects animations.

Also, you can enable or disable rain mode and adjust its density. Rain Mode provides rain drop effect on your wallpaper. If you set the density High, more rain drops will be formed on your wallpaper.


So, if you want to add a pretty cool effect on your device Home Screen or Lock Screen, then you should install this tweak.

My favorite feature about this tweak is the Rain Drop Effect. It is pretty cool and looks very natural.
